Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
The short version: PicStudio was built on a simple promise — your photos are yours. Everything happens locally, in your browser. This page spells out exactly what that means.
No uploads, ever
Your images are opened and edited directly in your browser. They are never sent to PicStudio or any server.
No accounts
There's no sign-up and no login. You don't give us an email or any personal information to use the editor.
No tracking cookies
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't build a profile of you.
Works offline
After your first visit, the editor keeps working without a connection — proof that the work happens on your device.
What we don't collect
PicStudio has no user accounts, so we never ask for your name, email address, or any other personal details. There is no upload step anywhere in the product: the images you edit are read into your browser's memory, processed on your own device, and saved straight back to your device. We never receive, store, or even see them.
We also don't run analytics, advertising, or fingerprinting scripts. We don't know who you are, what you edit, or how often you visit.
How editing stays on your device
Modern browsers are powerful enough to run sophisticated image processing — including on-device AI for tasks like background removal — without any server. PicStudio uses these built-in capabilities (Canvas, WebGL/WebGPU and WebAssembly) so that all computation runs on your own machine.
PicStudio is published as static files and does not run a backend that could receive your images. That's not just a policy — it's the architecture.
What's stored in your browser
To make the app fast and to let it work offline, your browser caches PicStudio's application files locally after your first visit. AI features (like the background remover) download a model the first time you use them; that model is cached by your browser so later runs are instant and can work without a connection. The model download comes from a public model CDN — the request fetches the model to your device, and your images are never part of it.
All of this lives only in your browser's local cache, under your control. Clearing your browser's site data for picstudio.app removes every trace of it.
Hosting
PicStudio's static files are served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare may keep standard, short-lived request logs (such as IP addresses) for security and operations, governed by Cloudflare's own privacy policy. These are ordinary web-server logs for delivering files — they never include your images or edits, because those never leave your device.
Cookies and analytics
Today, PicStudio sets no cookies and runs no analytics of any kind. If that ever changes — for example, if we add privacy-respecting, aggregate-only usage counts — we will update this page first, explain exactly what is measured, and it will never involve your images or any personal identification.
Changes to this policy
If we change how PicStudio works in a way that affects privacy, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top. The core promise — your images never leave your device — is the foundation of the product and is not going to change.
